Q.T.R.S.
A 404 page you can play. QBOT plays Tetris while you are lost, and on a phone the page becomes a handheld called QBOY.
A 404 with a game on it
When a page is missing, QBOT plays Q.T.R.S. in its place. He is a believable, imperfect player: he thinks, misjudges and clears lines. Click to play and the game is yours.
It reuses the Q.T.R.S. game that also lives in QOS, with the same leaderboard.
On a phone it becomes QBOY
On a phone the 404 turns into a handheld. A D-pad and four buttons sit under the screen, and the screen keeps the game's four blues.
I gave Claude Code a render of the handheld I wanted, and we built it in code to match.
Q's sprite
QBOT's body took a few tries. ChatGPT drew the first sprite sheets in black and white. PixelLab then made a full-color Q from my reference image and gave us all eight turns, and we cut a four-blue version of it for the screen.

He talks
QBOT talks in a clone of my own voice, crushed down to a 16-bit chip sound, with chiptune effects for the pieces. Sound is off until you turn it on.
The marks
The QBOY and Q.T.R.S. wordmarks, drawn as one family.
