I’ve had the opportunity to work with Q across two different companies, first at SmartAC and later at Circuit, where he was my design lead. Throughout that time, he has been an incredibly influential leader and mentor in my career. One of Q’s biggest strengths is the holistic way he approaches product development. He has a strong understanding not only of design, but also of product strategy, engineering, and development, which allows him to look at problems from multiple perspectives and connect the dots across disciplines. He is constantly looking for new and better ways to work, whether that means experimenting with new tools, improving team processes, or rethinking how we approach a design problem. He also has an exceptionally strong visual eye and a very distinctive creative perspective, always pushing the work beyond the obvious solution. Just as importantly, he is a great leader who genuinely enjoys sharing what he knows, helping designers develop their skills, and creating an environment where people feel motivated to grow and do better work. Working with Q has shaped the way I think about design, product, and collaboration, and I’m genuinely grateful to have had him as a leader and mentor throughout such an important part of my career.

Q is one of the most creative individuals I've worked with. He aggressively pursues out-of-the-box solutions to design challenges and does not hesitate or waste time in brainstorming. Besides all that, Q makes work fun. His exuberant presence on our team helped us cut through what often amounts to creative repression. I would highly recommend Q for any team that's looking to cut the crap and get something done creatively.

I've worked as a freelancer for Appiction, LLC. and have reported to Q directly as my Creative Director. Although 90% of the time we communicated via email/message boards, he would always be able to articulate his comments on my work efficiently and very promptly. He will offer constructive criticism, suggest alternate directions that may not have been considered, and is also not afraid to tell you that you are doing a great job. Rather than just flat out saying a design is not working, he will always offer ideas and suggestions on what could be a better solution, a trait that I think is very important in a Creative Director. I've really enjoyed working with him.
