Roovy

We built Roovy as a proof-of-concept before SXSW 2014 as a showcase of how a single app could service the full restaurant experience - to-go, delivery, servers, chefs & owners.

Want a to-go order? Roovy has you covered. Or if you want delivery, that's there, too. Coming to dine-in? Use the Roovy app before leaving home or once you get to the restaurant. Everything kept in one place.

Delivery

Nice large photographs of restaurants coupled with an intuitive, attractive app to build brand affinity. In 2026, none of this is new, but in 2014, this was before even UberEats has taken on some of these use-cases.

Kitchen

Tied directly into the restaurants POS system, Roovy's system helped everyone know they were on track for their numbers.

Wait staff

Rather than purchase additional hand-held units or SaaS products to handle table-service, waiters use the same Roovy app to create orders, update and cash-out at the end of the night.

Takeaways

Sometimes a quick deadline and a dream creates some of the most fun, interesting projects. Roovy is still on the Apple AppStore, providing service for members today.
