A motion dance game for kids: the iPhone rides in a holster on your hip, and the app hears you dance along, freeze on cue and hit the called moves

Overview

A toy and music products company engaged my team in October 2011 to design and build a game for a phone holster it was bringing to market: you strap the iPhone to your hip, pick songs from your own library, and the app uses the gyroscope, accelerometer and compass to tell whether you are dancing, whether you froze when the music stopped, and whether you did the move it called.

The game became Shake It Up, tied to the Disney Channel show of the same name.
