A Talker's Metronome
I talk fast. Like, really fast. As my public speaking engagements increased, many comments would often revolve less about what I was saying and more about the speed at which it was said.
Gloriously skeuomorphic, my aesthetic for this was to create a little robot (hence, the logo) that helped people slow-down or speed-up their cadence.
Spin the dial!
Being a huge fan of the original click-wheel iPods, I mimicked the spinning interface. Users would spin the wheel, which “clicked” into one of the categories - from slow to fast - to help them monitor their speech speed. Optionally, they could turn sound on/off, based on their needs.
Swiping up from the bottom would access the settings/credits for the app. Little clicks, clacks, and other noises to reinforce the simulacra of an actual device, were present.
For the website, I wanted to carry over the aesthetic, and just showcase the visual strength of the app, while giving users a quick way to download it.
